The last of the snow melted a few days ago, and yesterday there was sunshine and I was able to get over to Sussex and go riding for the first time in nearly three weeks. Winner!

Despite the sunshine, snowmelt and recent heavy rain meant that we stuck to roadwork to avoid the boggy ground.

Yesterday afternoon glenatron and I visited Waggoners Wells, a 17th century series of man-made ponds in a wooded valley just down the road from us. It's a National Trust reserve and is ridiculously pretty. I've visted before (and Ben is a regular), but not for about a year.

So, my weekend. I had to work Saturday morning, but I made my way south that afternoon where I met up with glenatron. We went back to his and fell asleep for a couple of hours, lol. On Friday I took the afternoon off work, so I was able to reach Surrey and glenatron early. It was an awesome weekend. :) Ben made pie! It was tasty. And we made dairy-free pizza, too. Also tasty. <3 ( Read more... )
